SLEEPING HEART

I hear your heart went to sleep
A long, long sleep
On a sunny day, your warmth chilled
On a hot day, you became cold
In your bones, death now lies still
As your insides float in their own purulence

Diabolical wraiths from your haughty arrogance
Now extol my innocence
For you chose death over me.
